I learned a lot from this race. I felt good the majority of it and only felt fatigued after the swim and during the last three miles when I started to cramp in my calves.
Running in Las Vegas definitely prepares me for dry running, but wet humid running is another story and losing the minerals your body needs to keep from cramping is no joke.
Above all though I saw a lot of people with just plain amazing speed and endurance. I was able to place 7th which I am very happy with, but I realize that good things take time and to get that number 1 spot will take patient building of my body in a clean strong way to be able to sustain higher speeds both up and down-hill and more proficient obstacle completion.
I loved the race and it was great to see some friends that are at most of the major races. Until next time patient training to come!
