Welcome to Anime Part 1, an introduction to anime. In the anime series we’ll learn how to create our own characters from start to finish. Part one of the anime series focuses on the face and all of its features.
class 1: simple eyes

Eyes are my favorite thing to teach to draw! In this class we’ll go over drawing all of the basics of the eyes in a simple format.
class 2: detailed eyes
13 minutes
In class 2 I’ll be teaching details in the eyes and how to draw them. Adding in shading, light sources, depth and more which will create a much more realistic drawing.
class 3: chibi eyes
13 minutes
In class 3 we’ll be going over drawing chibi eyes. Chibi is the more cute form of anime and is usually associated with smaller child-like figures that have larger heads and big bright eyes.
class 4: cross hatching
13 minutes
In class 4 I’ll teach you how to use hatching and cross hatching to add shading and depth to your characters.
class 5: eyes and angles
13 minutes
Class 5 is our last class on eyes and will cover angles and direction. This class will help you place your characters eyes pointing the right directions.
