What Exactly I Do
Doing everything makes you a jack of all trades, master of none.
If you’re looking for Indianapolis SEO and web development you’ve come to the right place. That’s my specialty: creating and promoting customized sites that are attractive and easy for prospects to find on search engines, like Google.
If you’re searching for a specialist outside of these areas, I’ll refer you to another professional. For example, I have friends who specialize in Email Marketing, App Development, and Social Media who I would be happy to introduce you to. Either way, we’ll get it done! My primary focus, though, is on SEO.
I would enjoy hearing about your projects, and discuss how I can assist you in moving forward. Contact me using the information here:
My early years and how I got started.
I grew up two hours away from Las Vegas, in Golden Valley, Arizona. When I was young, about two or so, I had an illness that was exasperated by the humidity in Washington State. It couldn’t be cured as long as we stayed up North due to the climate, so my parents moved us South where it wouldn’t be as big of a problem.
I was home schooled in Golden Valley since the closest school was 30 minutes away in Kingman. Part of my studies included working on a computer with basic programming languages, like GW Basic and others. I created my first real program when I was in sixth grade: a calculator.
Where my love of being a nerd came from.
As I grew older, I became entranced with video games, like many kids of my generation. Though, while others were shoving quarters into machines, I was programming games of my own. Nothing too fancy, just text-based games and adventure games. Since I knew the language, I could go through the code of other games to look for hidden cheats and other secrets. I loved that kind of thing. Then, when MySpace and other similar sites became popular, I started getting into programming pages for my friends.
After that, I launched a number of affiliate marketing; it was the first time I made money on the Internet. It was around this time that I seriously considered taking work for clients instead of just managing my sites as I was getting requests all of the time. I took on my first official client in 2007, and launched Joseph Stevenson (a Indianapolis SEO Firm). My two brothers are actually in tech as well; they who work for BP and Adobe. Today, I guess you could say that I’m in competition with other Indianapolis SEO firms, but I know I possess a unique advantage. My quality of work and commitment set me apart from the crowd. My SEO results for clients speak volumes.
I believe business should be earned, not expected.
A personal code that I’ve developed over the years is that trust has to exist between a client and an agency, and that trust and business has to be earned. Unfortunately, the reality is that quite a few Indianapolis SEO companies do not share the same belief, and are not always entirely honest with their clients. What these companies typically try to do is sell package deals and monthly contracts over long periods, then contract out the work to another company without their clients’ knowledge. I personally disagree with this method, and want the reputation of my company to be based on my efforts, not a third-party.
It can be tough to choose a Indianapolis SEO agency because they all say they’re the best and have great sales pitches. What I would recommend is to look past the glitz, and look at the work itself. Ask around and check the Internet for client reviews. If both of those look good, then consider moving forward. The reason that I’m open about these realities is that I’m confident in my body of work, and value honesty in business partnerships. I want to earn your business, and let you know exactly what you’ll receive when you hire me.
If you don’t do things right, don’t do them at all.
Other SEO companies tend to shortchange the ranking process so they can move through clients faster. Our company takes the opposite approach, and focuses on delivering professional level work instead of engaging in posting a lot of low- quality posts – like so many of these companies do.
1. Review current site. Here, we optimize the copy on your site to get it ready to climb in ranking.
2. Content creation: At this point, we develop blogs, social media posts, press releases, and other content that will be the main way to drive your rank up.
3. Repeat. As the content we create continues to get picked up, the search engines recognize the quality content and your site starts appearing in more and more of the searches your prospects make from their smart phones, tablets, or PCs.
Other Indianapolis SEO companies that rush the process, or try to sell you on a different approach are attempting to sell you half of a service. Their “easy” methods may result in temporary boosts that won’t benefit your site long-term. Any top-tier SEO company, such as ours, focuses on a content strategy that may take longer to build, but will result in more leads – and more sales.
Indianapolis SEO is our specialty. For more than a dozen years, we’ve been helping entrepreneurs understand and capitalize on SEO. We’ve helped create one success story after another. In fact, if you arrived on this site without being referred, you did so because of our coding and SEO.
Granted… Boosting website ranking is a competitive, time-intensive business that requires a solid background in programming, content, and marketing. However, it’s very rewarding to me to watch my clients succeed as we work on their sites. Out of SEO companies in Indianapolis, Joseph Stevenson SEO Consulting is one of the top companies to call.
