What Exactly I Do
Doing everything makes you a jack of all trades, master of none.
I manage a SEO company here in Tulsa that has been quite successful at helping Tulsa firms get to the top of the search engines. To do this, I focus on the basics and only handle SEO, not other tasks like email marketing, and the like. You know, Philip Kotler considered by many to be the father of modern marketing once wrote that marketing “consists of a set of buyers who have common needs and/or characteristics to those that the company or organization decides to serve”. These buyers are the exactly the ones I’ll attract to your website by using proven SEO principles.
Allow me to share exactly how I can get your targeted prospects to your site through SEO:
or tell me about yourself:
My early years and how I got started.
Small towns have their advantages. That’s what my parents thought when they moved me and my brothers to the hot, dry desert when I was still very young. We had been living in Washington State and I kept on getting sick. The doctors said it was something to do with all of the humidity and dampness, in the Northwest, but we’re still not sure exactly what was wrong.
My parents decided on Golden Valley, Arizona, two hours from Las Vegas, and about 30 minutes from Kingman, Arizona. Because Kingman was so far and Golden Valley didn’t have a school, lucky for me, my parents went the homeschooling route. By age twelve, they had passed on their love for computer programming, and taught me GW Basic and a number of other programming languages. I remember writing my first program that year, a simple calculator.
Where my love of being a nerd came from.
As I entered my teens, of course, my programming skills grew as fast as I did. I started creating more advanced programs, including a number of adventure games where players could make choices and affect the outcome of the game. I also studied other computer games, looking at the code to figure out the “secrets” and “cheats.” I learned about command prompts and computer directories, and began playing around with web interfaces for the first time when I started making my friends’ MySpace pages look good and work well. By my early 20s, I was creating full-blown affiliate marketing websites for myself. People were especially taking notice of my success in promoting these sites.
The appearance of search engines, as you remember, changed the whole game. When Yahoo and Google started taking charge of marketing on the web by ranking websites, and making it easier for people to find what they were looking for, SEO was officially born. Since 2007, I’ve been at the forefront of SEO every step of the way. At Joseph Stevenson (a Tulsa SEO Firm), we use our creativity and our programming expertise to make a real difference in the number of qualified visitors you get to your site, and therefore in the number of sales that originate online.
I believe business should be earned, not expected.
Knowing how to do SEO well is one thing. No running an honest business is another. A number of the other SEO firms in Tulsa aren’t always on the up and up. I’ve seen it up close and personal. They will tell you whatever is required to get you to sign a long-term SEO contract with them – and then find another cheaper content provider to do the bulk of what they think is needed for you to see an initial increase in your ranking.
With some of the other Tulsa SEO firms, it’s often not their intention to work hard, and certainly not to see the job through. They merely serve as a middleman. On the other hand, I expect to put in a honest day’s work and focus on getting results for you. My aim is to earn your trust. Your trust is not just a gimme to me. I won’t claim that I am the only quality SEO company in Tulsa, but I do know that I’m one of the best – and the most trustworthy. I’ll be glad to share the analytics that prove the increase in search engines rankings I consistently achieve for my clients.
If you don’t do things right, don’t do them at all.
I’ve always been a big believer in the maxim: quality over quantity. In SEO, this is especially true. Some Tulsa SEO firms try and hurry through your job; they try and do the least amount of work possible to slide by. Usually this involves posting some more content on your current website without addressing its structure, and getting you some back links. They have truncated your SEO process so they can get back to selling more contracts to other entrepreneurs. They take a bulk approach to inundating the web, rather than a strategic approach we take to get the job done right the first time, and set up the scaffolding necessary to support your SEO in the long term.
In my twelve years in SEO, I’ve created a 3-step process that may take a little more time, but it works:
First, I assess your current site and make any necessary coding and content changes. It is key to make sure things are looking fine and working fine before we drive more traffic there.
Second, I start placing strategic, high-quality content on your site and off to get as many publications and other sites to start picking up your content and publishing it. This is the type of momentum that’s needed for the search engines to begin to rank your site higher.
Third, we keep on adding informative, highly-shareable content. We have to prime the pump and keep it running. To be successful in SEO, patience is a virtue – especially for truly seeing a consistent, sustainable increase in your search engine ranking.
I handle SEO in Tulsa; I’ve been successful in getting website found for a dozen years. If you arrived at this sites then you’re already seeing some of my handiwork. Unless you got referred by someone, it’s my SEO that got you here.
