COURSE 1: anime part 1

free class!
Introduction to anime

Welcome to Anime Part 1, an introduction to anime. In the anime series we’ll learn how to create our own characters from start to finish. Part one of the anime series focuses on the face and all of its features.

free class!
class 1 | Anime eyes: simple | 13 minutes

Eyes are my favorite thing to teach to draw! In this class we’ll go over drawing all of the basics of the eyes in a simple format. I’ll teach you how to place eyes on paper with the right sizing and shapes and then move on to eye lashes, the pupil, cornea and how to shape your eyes.
We’ll finish off with some assignments before class 2 which will be focusing on adding the details to eyes.

class 2 | Anime eyes: detailed | 13 minutes

In class 2 I’ll be teaching details in the eyes and how to draw them. Adding in shading, light sources, depth and more will create a much more realistic drawing and that is what I’m hoping to teach you in this class. We’ll stick with the same basic anime type of eye but we’ll add in a lot more details. Let’s get started!

class 3 | Anime eyes: chibi | 13 minutes

In class 3 we’ll be going over drawing chibi eyes. Chibi is the more cute form of anime and is usually associated with smaller child-like figures that have larger heads and big bright eyes.

The eye section of this course wouldn’t be complete without teaching chibi!
